INTERNATIONAL REFRIGERATED TRANSPORTATION

For international refrigerated transportation, refrigerated road trains with semi-trailers are used. Such trucks are equipped with special refrigeration equipment that maintains the desired temperature during the entire transportation time. Humidity is also controlled. In other words, it is a refrigerator on wheels. During delivery, the cargo is in optimal climatic conditions. The cargo weight delivered by refrigerated trucks ranges from 1-22 tons, and the volume ranges from 10-90 cubic meters.

Modern refrigerated vehicles have the ability to transport goods simultaneously in 2 or even 3 different temperature regimes. 2- and 3-zone refrigerators are a universal solution when the customer needs to deliver goods with different temperature conditions of transportation. They are also used to organize international groupage refrigerated delivery.

Insulated vans are almost never used for international transportation of perishable cargo. This is due to the technical features of the isotherms. After all, these cars do not have refrigeration equipment to maintain the temperature. They only have a thermally insulated body. In fact, it is a thermos car, so it is not suitable for transporting perishable goods over long distances.

Features of transportation of time sensitive products.

The category of perishable goods includes:

• plant products: fruits, vegetables, herbs, berries;
• goods of animal origin: meat, dairy products, etc;
• seafood, frozen fish;
• alcoholic drinks;
• flowers, green lawns, plants;
• medicines and cosmetics;
• confectionery, ice cream, chocolate, sweets, etc.

For each group of goods, there are temperature conditions for transportation and the names of the modes:

• Cooling, the temperature is maintained in the range from 0 to +10 degrees. In this mode, vegetables, fruits, wine, and some medicines are transported;
• Freezing, the temperature is maintained in the range from 0 to -17 degrees. In this mode, meat or fish are transported which are not required deep freezing;
• Deep freezing, the temperature is maintained in the range of -18 degrees. In this mode, ice cream, meat or fish are transported;
• Warming. Usually, this mode is used in winter, when the temperature outside is very low and there is a need to protect the cargo from the external environment. For example, in winter, a refrigerator warms up its inner space to transport water-based paints.
