Additionally, the definition of groupage cargo includes the transportation of several consignments of goods from different shippers, but for one consignee company. - Traditional load-carrying vehicle with a groupage cargo – a truck collects individual cargoes along its route. That is, the vehicle is loaded with cargos not at the cross-docking warehouse. The route of the auto-truck is formed in advance.

HOW IS THE COST OF DELIVERY OF GROUPAGE CARGO CALCULATED?
The cost of transportation of small shipments in a consolidated truck is significantly lower than when a cost of an individual semi-trailer. There is no fixed price for groupage cargo delivery, the cost of each shipment is calculated separately. We take into account the delivery time, the cargo characteristics, its weight and volume, the location of the loading and unloading points.
The weight of cargo for consolidated delivery is usually in the range from 100 kg to 15 tons. But in our practice there were very small parcels weighing 10 kg, and a large consignment of goods weighing 18 tons as part of a groupage car.
